This is a pretty color throw, but you would have to use the same kind of yarn to get the same look. I also think with the self patterning yarn you lose some of the effect of the pretty pattern. I would be tempted to make it in a rich solid color so that you could see the pattern better.

I purchase the James Brett yarn for this project and started over at least six times and finally gave up. The stitches ARE easy but you have to pay constant attention to pattern changes. Not something you can do while watching TV.
