I made this in baby weight acrylic yarn for my grandson-to-be. Wonderfully easy, quick knit, and my daughter loves it. I disagree with an earlier statement that it is a tricky, brioche-type stitch. This one could hardly be simpler but is quite lovely.

This is just a brioche stitch. Though it looks simple enough it can be very tricky to get a grip on.
