Wonderful! And you can match any kitchen color scheme. Pattern is simple and easy to follow. Easily taken with you on the go, vacation or road trip. Size 9 needles means these work up quick. I am going to make some for my friends and neighbors that are not particularly into wearable knitwear.

I don't see knit dishtowel patterns often, so I am really liking these! I like the neutral colors and vintage look. There are so many cotton yarns to choose from, and some are natural and eco-friendly as well. To answer the questions below, Sugar 'n Cream and Peaches 'n Creme both are worsted weight 4 so would be perfect for this pattern.

The number 4 simply refers to the yarn weight, yarn that is manufactured here is usually classified into 6 weight categories and the number 4 would be what is often called worsted weight,it's simply a reference to how thick or thin the yarn is, not what it may be used for because the 4 weight yarn is pretty popular and used for many things, most of the popular yarn companies make a worsted weight cotton and if you can get the gauge it will work here. I know this is really late, but it may help someone. Happy knitting!

Can you use Sugar and Cream to make these? I love Red Heart, but I'm new to knitting. I use Red Heart for Afghans, baby blankets, etc. I didn't know they made cotton for hand towels and kitchen clothes. Thank you.. Sue

Hi pinkcaddy7 - Aran yarn is yarn of a medium weight that is usually slightly thicker than worsted weight yarn. Aran yarn is fairly versatile due to its medium weight and may be used to craft many different types of garments, housewares, or accessories. Hope this helps! -The editors of AllFreeKnitting

When the materials say (4) medium weight/worsted weight and Aran, my thought goes to Red Heart (acrylic) Super Saver. I know, I know, it says cotton dishcloths, but its confusing because I think of (4) medium weight/worsted as the afghan kind of yarn. Are you talking more about the yarn that's called Peaches and Cream or Sugar and Spice? I didn't know it was rated that way. And can you explain to me what "Aran" is? I thought it was a "wool". I wouldn't think that would be good for dishcloths. Thanks for your help. pinkcaddy7@yahoo.com
