Easy Knit Vest

Sometimes simple is the best way to go. This Easy Knit Vest pattern is a great ‘mindless’ project for when you’re watching television or riding in the car. Beginning knitters can also easily tackle this knitted vest pattern. Two garter stitch rectangles are knitted up and then sewn together to make the vest; it is that easy. The simplicity of this free vest pattern makes it a perfect first project for a knitter who is testing the waters of garments or for someone who wants an easy project.

I don't know about this pattern. Ok the basic measurements are here but the rest is on the knitter. I would not give this pattern to a beginner knitter. You almost have to design your own vest. Really did not like the pattern. Too boxy. I could add more shape but then again I have to write my own patten.

I cannot see how to sew this together.

How is a beginner knitter to how to calculate stitches?? This is terrible to put the burden on the knitter

It's probably not the best pattern for a beginner, but if you want to try, she tells you how to figure how many stitches you need for the size you need. Scroll to just under the graph (about halfway down the page) and read 1, 2 and 3 of the instructions for that. It takes a little math, but it's not hard to do.

Cannot rate yet but can't wait to give it a go.

I am a new knitter and would very much love to have this pattern. Was this not available as a free pattern as stated! If so, where is it?, and is it available pdf!

The pattern is here (via the link given above) http://www.laylock.org/blog/2012/10/coze-easy-knit-vest-pattern/

Great look but where is the pattern???

Its not a standard pattern, its more of a tutorial, you have to create the pattern based on the instructions she provides, so not easy if you are a beginner, but could be a good way to learn new skills if that's what you want.

I like this pattern very much and I have tried to Print this pattern I have just signed up to get the pattern have I done it wrong. Marlene Droscher droscher2@bigpond.com
