Stars and Stripes Dishcloth
For that little detail nobody will expect at your 4th of July party, knit a Stars and Stripes Dishcloth or two! Knitting Needle Size7 or 4.5 mm, Double-Pointed Knitting Needles (DPNs)
Yarn Weight(4) Medium Weight/Worsted Weight and Aran (16-20 stitches to 4 inches)
Gauge1 stitches, 2 rows, 3 inches. stockinette stitch
Materials:
- Lily® Sugar’n Cream® (Stripes: 56.7 g/2 oz; 86 m/95 yds) 21705 (American Stripes) - 1 ball
- Set of 4 size 4.5 mm (U.S. 7) double-pointed knitting needles or size needed to obtain gauge.
Measurements: Approx 10” [25.5 cm] diameter.
Abbreviations:
K = knit
tog = together
P = purl
yo = yarn over
ssk = slip next 2 stitches knitwise one at a time. Pass them back onto left-hand needle, then knit through back loops together.
Inc 1 = Increase 1 stitch in next stitch by knitting into front and back of next st.
Gauge: 19 sts and 38 rows = 4 in [10 cm] in garter st.
