M1 = Make 1 (Increase). Lift strand between needles to left-hand needle and knit strand through the back loop, twisting it to prevent a hole.
Scrubby
With A, cast on 7 sts.
Row 1: Knit.
Row 2: K1, M1, Knit across row to last stitch, M1, K1—9 sts.
Rows 3-16: Repeat Rows 1-2. At end of Row 16, cut yarn leaving a 3" [8 cm] tail—23 sts.
Row 17: Change to B and Knit.
Row 18: Repeat Row 2—25 sts.
Rows 19-36: Repeat Rows 1-2. At end of Row 36, cut yarn cut yarn leaving a 3" [8 cm] tail —43 sts.
Rows 37-55: Change to C and Knit every Row.
Row 56: Bind off all stitches loosely
Finishing
Using Yarn Needle, weave in all tails and loose ends.
