NOTES
1. When casting on all stitches, place markers after every 135 stitches using the same color marker for the first 3, then the different color for the last (4th)
marker to mark beginning of round.
2. Decreases are made every other round, on round 1 only of Garter Stitch (in the round) Pattern.
TIPS & HINTS
Join a new ball of yarn when there are approximately 6” [15 cm] of yarn left from the old ball, also leaving a 6” [15 cm] tail of yarn with the joined yarn. Weave these ends in neatly on the wrong side of the fabric in a zig-zag pattern for a few inches, and then trim off excess.

Pattern Stitch
Garter Stitch (in the round) Pattern
Round 1 (Right Side): Knit all stitches.
Round 2: Purl all stitches.
Repeat rows 1- 2 for Garter Stitch (in the round) Pattern.
Blanket
Using A and Circular Knitting Needles, cast on 540 sts placing st markers as stated in Notes.
Join in the round, being careful not to twist sts. Set up pattern beginning with Round 1.
Round 1 (Right Side): *K2tog, knit to 2 sts before first marker, ssk, slip marker* repeat between markers 3 more times ending at beginning of round marker. 8 sts decreased—532 sts.
Next Round: Work Round 2.
Next Rounds: Repeat Rounds 1-2, decreasing 8 sts every other Round until piece measures 2” (5 cm) from cast on edge.
Next Rounds: Change to B and continue until piece measures 8” (20 cm). Next Rounds: Change to A and continue for the remainder of the blanket. Change to Double-Pointed Needles as sts decrease.
Next Rounds: Continue working until 12 sts remain and 3 sts on each Double-Pointed Needle meet in the middle. Cut yarn leaving a 12” (30 cm) tail. Thread tail through yarn needle and draw through remaining sts. and secure.
Finishing
Weave in ends.
