Yukon Knit Beanie
Stay warm this winter when you make the Yukon Knit Beanie! This knitting pattern is easy to make and is a great way for newer knitters to learn how to make beanies. The striped design will add a few pops of color to your winter gear, too.
From the blogger: "This beginner-friendly stranded knitting project features eye-catching vertical stripes. Skills Used: Basic knitting skills (cast on, knit, bind off); knitting in the round (including small circumference knitting in the round using DPNs or the “magic loop” method with circular needles); decreasing with k2tog; changing colors. Skill level: Easy. Finished size: 22” (56 cm) circumference. Materials: Imperial Yarn Columbia (100% wool, 4 oz/113 g, 220 yd/201 m) – 1 skein ea in 116 Black Cherry (CA) and 04 Charcoal Natural (CB), or approximately 100 yd (91 m) in ea of 2 colors in any medium weight yarn; US 10/6 mm 40” (100 cm) circular needles or set of DPNs, or any size needed to obtain correct gauge; yarn needle; stitch marker. Gauge: 15 sts x 18 rows in pattern = 4” (10 cm). For best fit, always check your gauge."
