Using longer circular needle, CO 112 (120, 126, 134, 140, 148) sts. Knit 4 rows.
Next row (RS): K6, place marker, work in Eyelet Stockinette St to last 6 sts, place marker, k6.
Continue working in pattern, keeping 6 sts at each end in knit every row. Work even until back measures 20 (21, 22, 23, 24, 25)” / 51 (53.5, 56, 58.5, 61, 63.5)cm, ending with a WS row.
Shape Neck
Next row (RS): Work in pattern across 40 (44, 47, 51, 54, 58) sts, join second ball of yarn and BO center 32 sts for back neck, continue across rem 40 (44, 47, 51, 54, 58) sts with second ball of yarn. Working both sides at the same time with separate balls of yarn, continue in pattern and CO 2 sts at each neck edge 4 times—48 (52, 55, 59, 62, 66) sts.
Next row (RS): Work in pattern across to center, CO 16 sts for back edge, then continue across all sts with same ball of yarn; cut second ball—112 (120, 126, 134, 140, 148) sts.
FRONT
Work even in pattern until front measures .75” /2cm less than back. Knit 4 rows. BO loosely
Neck Edging
With right side face, using shorter circular needle, join yarn to back neck edge, then pick up and k32 sts across back neck, pick up and k10 sts along side front neck edge, 16 sts across center front neck edge and 10 sts along side front neck edge—68 sts. Place marker for beg of rnd. (Purl 1 rnd, knit 1 rnd) twice. BO loosely.
FINISHING
Using yarn needle, weave in ends.
Side seams
Fold garment in half at shoulder, even with back neck edge.
Measure 7 (7, 7, 6.5, 5,5, 4.5)” /18 (18, 18, 16.5, 14, 11.5)cm from side edges. Sew two seams 12”/30.5 cm up from lower edge.
