Bind off knit-wise (loosely to maintain width)
Repeat entire process from beginning so you have 2 half-length scarves. -
Block scarf halves if necessary so both halve match width & length and to obtain straight edge for joining. (Blocking is only necessary if both halves are noticeably different size wise. Otherwise it’s optional for just a neater, smoother looking knitted product)
Join the straight ends of the halves together to make one long scarf ensuring right sides are facing the same way. Weave all loose ends in. Use leftover yarn to make tassels for scarf ends if desired – alternating colours are effective.
