- Susan Bates® Knitting Needles: 8.0mm [US 11]
- Yarn needle
GAUGE: 12 sts = 4” [10 cm]; 16 rows = 4” [10 cm] in Dewdrop Stitch pattern. CHECK YOUR GAUGE. Use any size needle to obtain the gauge.

Special Stitches:
PSSO = Pass the slipped stitch over.
YO = Yarn over needle.
Sl1-K2tog-PSSO = Slip next stitch purlwise, knit two together, pass the slipped stitch over the two knit together.
SSK = Slip, Slip, Knit - slip next 2 sts knitwise, then knit together
DEWDROP STITCH PATTERN (multiple of 6 +1):
Rows 1 and 3 (Wrong Side): K2 *P3, K3*, end with P3, K2
Row 2 (Right Side): P2 *K3, P3*, end with K3, P2
Row 4: K2 *YO, Sl 1-K2tog-PSSO, YO, K3*, end with YO, Sl 1-K2tog-PSSO, YO, K2
Rows 5 and 7: P2 *K3, P3*, end with K3, P2
Row 6: K2 *P3, K3*, end with P3, K2
Row 8: K2tog *YO, K3, YO, Sl 1-K2tog-PSSO*, end with YO, K3, YO, SSK
Repeat Rows 1-8 for Dewdrop Stitch pattern
Note: Right and Wrong sides are specified in Dewdrop Stitch pattern. However, the pattern is textural, equally attractive on both sides and can be worn with Right or Wrong side showing.
SCARF:
Cast on 21 sts.
Knit 2 rows.
Set up pattern and border on next row. First and last stitch is worked in Garter st for edge/border, center 19 sts are worked in Dewdrop Stitch pattern.
Row 1 (Wrong Side): K1, K2 *P3, K3*, end with P3, K2, K1.
Next Rows: Continue working in Dewdrop Stitch pattern on center 19 sts and Garter st edge/border until scarf measures 58½” [149 cm] from cast on edge.
Next Rows: Knit 2 rows.
Next Row: Bind off all sts knitwise.
FINISHING
With yarn needle, weave in ends.
Lightly block into shape
