Knitting Needle Size8 or 5 mm, Circular Knitting Needles

Yarn Weight(3) Light/DK (21-24 stitches to 4 inches)

Materials:

  • Patons® Glam Stripes™ (2.1 oz/60 g; 239 yds/261 m) Wine (09530) - 2 balls
  • Size U.S. 8 (5 mm) circular knitting needle 24" [60 cm] long or size needed to obtain gauge
  • Stitch Marker

GAUGE: 2 sts and 24 rows = 4" [10 cm] in garter st.

Measurements: Approx. 12" [30.5 cm] deep x 70" [178 cm] long.

Abbreviations:
Alt = Alternate(ing)
Approx = Approximately
K = Knit
Kfb = Knit into front and back of next stitch - increase made
PM = Place marker
Rep = Repeat(s)
RS = Right side
SM = Slip marker
St(s) = Stitch(es)
WS = Wrong side

Instructions:
Cast on 2 sts.
1st row: (RS). Kfb. PM. Kfb.
2nd and alt rows: Kfb. Knit to end of row.
3rd row: (Kfb) twice. SM. Kfb. K1. Kfb.
5th row: Kfb. Knit to 1 st before marker. Kfb. SM. Kfb. Knit to last st. Kfb.
6th row: As 2nd row.
Rep last 2 rows until work across longer edge measures approx 70" [178 cm] or until 2 balls have been used, ending on a WS row and leaving approx 5 yds [4.5 m] of yarn for casting off.
Cast off.
