You might want to place a marker before each of the 3 sets of diagonal increases.
Using 3.75mm needles, cast on 7sts
Row 1:(K1, yf) 6 times, k1
Row 2: and every alt row, K1, prul to last st, k1
Row 3: k1, yf, k3 (yf, k1) 5 times, yf, k3, yf, k1
Row 5: k1, yf, k5, (pm yf, k1, yf, k3) twice, pm, yf, k1, yf, k5, yf, k1
Row 7: k1, yf, k7, (pm, yf, k1, yf, k5) twice, pm, yf, k1, yf, k7, yf, k1
Continue increasing, with 2 extra sts in each panel, until piece measures 25cm down the centre, ending after a ws row.
Work 4 rows purl, working yrn instead of yf on RS rows
**cont in st st, increasing as before for 8 rows work 6 rows purl.
Rep from ** once more then purl 2 rows more Change to 4mm needles and lace pattern
