Gauge1 stitches, 2 rows, 3 inches. stockinette stitch
Finished SizeUpper edge = 44“ [112cm], about 24“ [60cm] long (without tassels).

- Schachenmayr original Favorito, 300g #00070 petrol
- One long US 6-8 [4-5mm] circular needle, or size to obtain gauge
- One big crochet hook for the tassels
Instructions
Chain selvage stitch:
Wyif at beg of RS row slip selvage st pwise; bring yarn to front of work before last st and slip selvage st pwise. On WS rows K selvage st tbl at beg of row; at end of row K selvage st.
Method:
Cast on 3 sts and P 1 WS row, then cont with Lace Patt foll Chart. From 5th row 2 sts are inc by the yo on every RS row.
After 18th row cont in patt.
When work measures 22“ [56cm], after 157th row, there are 159 sts on the needle.
Cont with Rib Patt; on 1st WS row start with chain selvage, K1, and end in reverse.
When work measures about 23½“ [60cm] bind off all sts.
Finishing:
Block piece to measurements, cover with a damp cloth and allow to dry.
Knot 1 tassel into each chain selvage across the diagonal side edges of shawl incl side edges of Rib Patt as foll: cut threads about 18“ [35cm] long. Fold 2 threads tog in half, bring loop through garment with the crochet hook, then bring the loose ends through the loop and pull up firmly.
