- Brown Sheep Serendipity Tweed (60%Cotton, 40% wool [210 yards/skin]) 1 skein of two colors. Shown in ST96 Oregano Leaves and ST36 Lavender Phlox.
- Size 7 (4.5mm) needles, or size to obtain gauge
- Crochet hook
Shawlette
Using A, cast on 80 sts. Knit 6 rows.
Row 1: Using B, k2tog, k to end.
Row 2: Using B, purl.
Row 3: Using A, k2tog, k to end.
Row 4: Using A, purl.
Row 5: Using A, knit.
Row 6: Using A, purl.
Repeat these 6 rows until 3 sts remain. K3tog, pulling yarn through remaining st.
Picot Edged Hem
Using B, pick up 1 st in every row on decrease edge of shawl. There will be approximately 240 sts. Knit 6 rows.
Bind off: *Bind off 3 sts using the regular method, remove st from needle, insert crochet hook, ch3, insert hook into base of chain, yarn over hook, pull loop through. Return needle to stitch. Repeat from * across.
Upper Edge
Using B, pick up 3 sts for every 4 rows. There will be approximately 180 sts. Knit 6 rows. Bind off loosely.
Finishing
Weave in ends. Block.
