  • Size 5 mm (U.S. 8) knitting needles or size needed to obtain gauge
  • Length of satin ribbon 1/4" [1 cm] wide

Note

Cozy is worked from the bottom up.

Gauge: 15 sts and 24 rows = 4" [10 cm] in Swayed Eyelet Pat

Measurements: Approx 11" [28 cm] tall, to fit standard 0.75L bottle (750 ml)

Instructions

Cast on 38 sts.

  1. 1st row: (RS). K2. *K2tog. yo. K2. Rep from * to end of row.

  2. 2nd, 4th, 6th, 8th and 10th rows: Purl.

  3. 3rd row: K1. *K2tog. yo. K2. Rep from * to last st. K1.

  4. 5th row: *K2tog. yo. K2. Rep from * to last 2 sts. K2.

  5. 7th row: K1. *yo. ssk. K2. Rep from * to last st. K1.

  6. 9th row: K2. *yo. ssk. K2. Rep from * to end of row.

  7. 11th row: K3. *yo. ssk. K2. Rep from * to last 3 sts. K3.

  8. 12th row: Purl.

    These 12 rows form Swayed Eyelet Pat.

    Cont in pat until work from beg measures 8½" [21.5 cm], ending with a WS row.

  9. Next row: (RS). *K2. P2. Rep from * to last 2 sts. K2.

  10. Next row: *P2. K2. Rep from * to last 2 sts. P2. Rep last 2 rows until work from beg measures 11" [28 cm]. Cast off in pat.

    Finishing

  11. Sew back seam.

  12. Thread ribbon through eyelet row closest to base of rib section, having ends meet at center front.
