Winter Cable Knit Beanie Pattern

Knitting Needle Size9 or 5.5 mm
Yarn Weight(4) Medium Weight/Worsted Weight and Aran (16-20 stitches to 4 inches)
Gauge16 sts = 4 inches in stockinette
Materials List
- Double Pointed or Circular Knitting Needles (depending on your preference)
- Cable Needle
- Yarn (the designer used Stitch Nation Full O'Sheep)
- Scissors
- Tapestry needle or crochet hook for weaving in ends
Pattern
STARTING
CO 80(88) sts and join into rnd.
Row 1: pm, (p2, k6) around.
Row 2: sl m (p2, k6) around.
Rows 3-5: rpt 2.
Row 6: sl m, (p2, sl 3 sts onto cable needle and hold in front, k3, k3 from needle) around.
Row 7: rpt 2.
Repeat 2-7 twice more (three times more), for 3(4) total repeats.
Rows 8-9: rpt 2.
Row 10: sl m, (p2, ssk, k2, k2tog) around. 60(74) sts
Rows 11-12: sl m, (p2, k4) around.
Row 13: sl m, (p2, ssk, k2tog) around. 40(52) sts
Rows 14-15: sl m, (p2, k2) around.
Row 16: sl m, (p2tog, ssk) around. 20(22) sts
Rows 17-18: sl m, (p1, k1) around.
Row 19: sl m, ssk around. 10(11) sts
Row 20: k around.
Row 21: ssk until 5 sts remain. 5(5) sts
FINISHING
Break yarn and weave in tail to secure. Weave in other ends and wet block and let dry. Finish with a pom pom.
