Cast on 43 sts.
1st row: (WS). Knit.
2nd row: *K3. K1below. Rep from * to last 3 sts. K3.
Rep last 2 rows for pat until work from beg measures approx 28" [71 cm], ending on a 2nd row of pat.
Cast off knitwise.
Sew cast on and cast off edges tog.
