Reading over all of the comments on this post, I am both amused and amazed at how many people dont understand how to click the direct links to the free patterns and then either printing the pattern or saving it as a PDF. This is an awesome collection of afghans and definitely one to keep bookmarked.

Knitting blankets is my new favorite thing to do. I'm going to have to bookmark some of these!

Autoplay videos are completely inconsiderate!

Not sure if you are accessing via a computer or a phone, but either way you should find in the settings a way to disable auto play of videos.

This came with my all free crochet newsletter but all the afghan patterns are knitted. What's up with that?

Probably just an error. Was this a one time thing or has it been happening on a regular basis? Be sure to log in to your account of adjust your email preferences if necessary.

Not sure why so many think they cannot get this pattern, but here is the link to the blue and white afghan: http://www.freevintageknitting.com/afghan-patterns/columbia-minerva-742/blue-and-white-afghan

How do I get the Blue and White Afgan pattern downloaded to my e-mail ???

You cannot get it downloaded via your email, but you should be able to click the direct link to the pattern page and either print or save it to your computer as a pdf.

I am not a beginner, all I wanted was to get the free patterns. Please take me off you news letter! Disappointed in your advertisement!

You will need to log in to your account and in the preferences uncheck which newsletters you want to be removed from.

@ slb109 8708013, All you need to do is click on the green underlined links and they will take you to the pattern instructions. Go to the page and highlight the text, then right-click on it. You'll get a window that gives you the option to "copy." Do that, and then paste the text into a word document. You should be able print that document that way. Hope this helps! --The editors of AllFreeKnitting

I thought I would be able to print out the patterns, but I see that I have to order and start a subscription. This ad was very misleading and I am really disappointed.

That is not true, where are you all getting these ideas? Here's the link to the blue and white afghan: http://www.freevintageknitting.com/afghan-patterns/columbia-minerva-742/blue-and-white-afghan

This is a year later...however you do not need a subscription or buy anything....these patterns are free. Just follow the instructions on how to get them. It's basically clicking on the pattern and copy and paste.
