Rosebud Afghan
Some of my favorite free afghan knitting patterns are vintage. This Rosebud Afghan, a vintage pattern, is certainly at the top of my favorite's list. Knit with five colors of yarn, this piece is time consuming, but will create a unique piece of decor for your home. This afghan requires duplicate stitch embroidery for completion, but the results are beautiful. Perfect for gardeners and floral enthusiasts everywhere.

Some people think vintage means dated or even unattractive. This pattern proves them wrong! It is classically pretty which never goes out of style. You could make it in whatever color combination you wanted and it would still look good. Yes, it takes extra work, but it is worth it to create something so nice.

This is so beautiful and would make an exceptional wedding present for a special couple. Its knit in panels with the roses added later with a duplicate stitch embroidery. The panels make it easier to remember the pattern but an experienced knitter could probably make this in a seamless version.

I need to clarify that the size needle is 10.....seems too big...or is it 1.0 ? Only way to contact site is by mail and that seems too time consuming. I also assume it is 4-ply yarn, but then again if it is 1.0 needle that wouldn't work. Help, please. Thanks.

The knitting needle size is 10 or 6mm and the yarn weight is worsted, which is a #4.

The "pattern link" is just a link to another site where you have to sign up to get it. Deceptive!
