The pom on this hat makes it fun and whimsical, but the black and white color scheme keep it from looking childish. I have some bulky black and white yarn in my stash that is practically screaming to be used for this hat.

This is a great pattern and the slouchy style is very stylish. With bulky/chunky yarn and bigger needles it should work up quickly. I love that there are no seams to sew up the back! The only thing I might change is to do more than one row of ribbing on the bottom edge to help keep it from curling up.

I love the idea of making a Kate Spade inspired hat! The white and black stripes on the hat add flair, while the pom pom makes it cute. It is sure to go well with all outfits. I also like that it does not have a seam because it is knit on circular needles.

This hat pattern is a classic. It's good practice in basic colorwork, too. Nice that it comes with a matching scarf pattern - great for a gift set for next year.
