Quick Kitty Hat
Who doesn't like looking like a cat from time to time? This easy knit hat pattern is a more sophisticated take on the cutesy animal hat. Rather than separately attaching ears, the Quick Kitty Hat is knit in one piece, making it a simple project for beginning knitters. The hat is essentially a square shaped knit flipped inside out, resulting in cute, subtle ears. The Quick Kitty Hat is a great last ditch Halloween effort or a quirky hat for every day.

I havent made a cat ear hat yet, but I have been wanting to try one for a while now. This pattern is incredibly easy. It is well written, and includes a picture for seaming. I dont think it would take very long to make one. It would be a great project for bazaars and fundraisers.

I made this hat for my niece last year. She absolutely loved this. It was a very easy hat to knit. I think this only took a couple of hours. I think I am going to make her another one using a different color. I did use wool yarn, so that this would be nice and warm. It really does create the kitty ears after being blocked and worn. It's pretty amazing. It looks normal while knitting. It's pretty neat how the shape changes when worn.

Oh, what a hat! This one has been around the Internet a few times, in another color. -) But it really is pretty and cute for a teen to wear on Halloween or just when she's feeling like having a little fun.

Such a simple technique for a rather unique hat! You could even embroider eyes and whiskers for a child's hat. It would be so easy to change sizes, since it's basically a rectangle. Wouldn't it make a pretty, fuzzy pink cat hat for a little one if the yarn was changed?
