Chunky Stripe Pocket Scarf
The Chunky Stripe Pocket Scarf is a lovely combination of stripes and long fringe. You can keep both your neck and your hands warm at the same time with this free scarf knitting pattern. This scarf is knit entirely in Stockinette stitch, so it's a great way for new knitters to try their hand at a stylish scarf pattern. The designer notes Stockinette stitch naturally wants to roll into itself, so she steam blocked the scarf and made it lay flat, as well as steam blocked the pockets before sewing them on. This knitting pattern will make a great gift for yourself or your trendy granddaughter.

I love the idea of a scarf with little pockets... I sometimes forget to grab my gloves on my way out the door, so this would keep my fingers from freezing. Plus, this easy pattern isn't too advanced for a beginner like myself.

This scarf is a must have for winter! I love the idea of having pockets at the end of the scarf because then I have a cozy pockets to put my hands in when I forget my gloves, which is often! I think I will shorten the fringes at the end of the scarf, though.
