I really like the look of simple garter stitch scarves. I can't believe that I could make this scarf in just two hours! I'm excited to try it out.

Oh, this pattern is a favorite of mine! I knitted my very first scarves using it and got a lot of practice in knitting basics. It's also super warm for the winter and great to wear under your coat on a really cold day. I really like projects I can finish in one night while I'm watching TV and this scarf is one of them. I've left the tassles off of some scarves and it looks just as good.

I love the ribbed look that makes it look like it has stripes but is really just fabulous texture. Very impressive!

This scarf is very pretty and sounds so easy! I never would have guessed how simple it is.

help! been looking for pattern? easy to knit-on reg. k. needles. where the stitch makes it into a sort of doubleknit st. had a scarf made long ago.it was it had two sides knit in ea.single row.

I remember the scarf you are talking about-haven't seen a pattern for it in about 25-30 years. there are a couple of vintage pattern sites on the net, I would try there. hope this helps.

Knit a simple scarf Caston odd number of stitches, k1 p1....end k1, turn, and k1 p1...end k1. Great with variegated yarn colors.
