Simple Gingham Scarf
Use these scarf knitting instructions to create a clean and classic scarf. With some yarn weight adjustments, the Simple Gingham Scarf can easily be transformed into a wider winter scarf or can be kept thin and light for the summer. Checkered squares complement sections of cloverleaf eyelets and reverse stocking stitch squares. This scarf is stylish, reversible and great for knitters of every skill level.

I am having a hard time understand this pattern. The stitches are simple but unsure of order. Do i go by the chart or the pattern notes because they are little different.

kurus68 1646519, Once you click on the link on our site that says "click here for knitting pattern," a new window will open up that takes you directly to the original designer's site. From here, scroll down and click on one more link that says "download free pattern" to view the full pattern. The full pattern should then open in a new window. It is a PDF file, so you will need the latest version of Adobe installed on your computer to view the pattern. --Editor of AllFreeKnitting

@flipknitsyahoocom and eastbayexile 2414952, Once you click on the link on our site that says "click here for knitting pattern," a new window will open up that takes you directly to the original designer's site. From here, you will actually need to click on one more link that says "download free pattern" to view the full pattern. This link appears below the text and images right above the purple box that says "Want FREE Ravelry downloads?" The full pattern should then open in a new window. I hope this helps! --Editor of AllFreeKnitting

The base pattern for the Gingham scarf asks for a multiple of 10 plus '5' stitches. It should actually read 10 + '1'. The scarf pattern has you cast on 41 stitches and by looking at the chart it can only be 10 +'1'.

Maybe it was my computer but I could not pull up this wonderful pattern. I clicked on the link to get the pattern and all that pops up is the material list but no pattern. HELP! LOL I would love to try this pattern out with some of my stash yarns. Thanks! Mary
