My mom always wore vests, and now that I am not so young anymore, I understand how warm and practical they are. This little vest is an easy knit and tailored enough to wear to work with a skirt while casual enough wear with a pair of jeans.

I'm so glad I found this pattern! I bought several skeins of DK in the same color, Merlot. Wasn't sure what I would make with the yarn, as a birthday gift to a friend. This vest, I'm sure, will be worn over and over again. It's simple and won't clash with whatever is worn under it. A great project for a beginner knitter.
