Winter Woods Tunic
The Winter Woods Tunic is the perfect winter weekend sweater. This pretty knit sweater pattern has a beautiful cable stitch design with a lovely row of stitched leaves. You'll love cozying up on the couch with a good book wearing this sweater because it's so soft and warm. The best part about The Winter Woods Tunic is that it's slightly over-sized and longer than the traditional sweater, perfect for keeping you nice and toasty all season long.

I wasn't sure if I liked this at first, but I clicked on the link to go to the pattern and it has a cowl paired with it. The cowl sets the whole thing apart in my opinion. It makes it similar to a turtleneck but has a gorgeous scallop edge that adds to the collar. Be sure to check it out!

Oh, wow, this is my bucket-list sweater for sure! I am an easy/intermediate knitter and could manage the individual patterns on a scarf, but put all together on a sweater not so much. This is just stunning and I will definitely try it when I have more experience.

This is gorgeous! Stitch count comments noted - I'll check with designer - but this is definitely going to be my present to me! Hmm - can't submit a comment without a rating, but I haven't made it yet. Visually 5 stars but I'll be back with a final rating when it's finished!

I added it up, too and came up with Cast on 96 (104, 112, 122, 132) and would guess it is just a math error. This will be on my needles after the holiday knitting is done--it is stunning!

Hi Elfinwitch! Did you get an answer and make this? How did it turn out?

I sent in a comment a few days ago and have not received a reply. I would like to make this sweater, but have a problem with the number of cast on sts. For the med. sweater it calls for 96 sts., but when I add all the panels up it comes to 104 sts. Is it my error, or is there a mistake. I have purchased the yarn, so would appreciate an answer. Thank ypu, Cj Dubla

cj all freeknitting is just a host site or "middleman" if you will. You may have a better chance of getting your question answered if you ask it directly on the website containing the pattern.
