Hi amylynne922 406797 9, you have a couple options. This pattern is designed to be knit in the round (not flat), so in order to use this pattern you could use double pointed needles (DPNs). If you don't know how to use them there are plenty of tutorials and videos online. Or you could learn to use a circular needle using the Magic Loop method. Again, lots of tutorials available. Otherwise, don't use this pattern and find a hat pattern that is knit flat instead.

@joanhet 1819673, First, please click on the link that says "click here for knitting pattern." Once you are directed to the site with the pattern, highlight the text, then right-click on it. You'll get a window that gives you the option to "copy." Do that, and then paste the text into a word document. You should be able print that document that way. --Editors of AllFreeKnitting

Why can I not print a free pattern when it says click for knitting pattern.I wish I had not sign up to this site. Its more trouble than its worth to try and get the pattern. Can I cancel my sign up info?

@sally14822 1323714: Most patterns are protected by copyright, which means you will have to ask the designer of the pattern for permission to copy and distribute the pattern. You can contact the designer of this pattern through her blog here: http://needyl.com/. Hope this helps! -- Editor of AllFreeKnitting
