Size U.S. 10 (6 mm) knitting needles or size needed to obtain gauge
2 stitch markers

Pattern

The instructions are written for smallest size. If changes are necessary for larger sizes the instructions will be written thus ( ).

Cast on 28 (36-44) sts.
Knit 2 rows (garter st).
Next row: (RS). Kfb in first st. Knit to end of row.
Rep last row 5 times more. 34 (42-50) sts.
Knit 4 (6-8) rows.
Next row: (RS). K1. K2tog. Knit to end of row.
Rep last row 5 times more. 28 (36-44) sts.
Shape cuff
Cast off 4 (6-7) sts beg next 2 rows. 20 (24- 30) sts. Place marker at each end of last row. Knit 8 rows. Cast off loosely.

Finishing

Fold Bootie in half, matching markers. Sew foot seam to markers. Fold cuff to RS as shown in picture.

I have been looking for a quick and easy knit baby bootie pattern and this looks like just what I want! The designer gives you very detailed instructions. This pattern includes different sizes. Be sure to use pastel and baby colors. You can make a batch of these and send to your favorite baby charity!

Super simple baby booties, they take such a small amount of yarn you can probably make a pair to match a sweater or simple baby blanket. They would make a sweet gift to expecting parents. Or, think about donating some booties to your local hospital's neo natal unit as a gift to newborns.
