This seems a little more advanced that "easy," mainly because of color pattern band. I followed links and after a few clicks, I found the chart for it, but even then, it does not look easy (although not too complicated for an intermediate knitter). It would be suitable for either boy or girl! A brother and sister matching set would be neat.
