How adorable are the hat and the model? Hats are one thing you know for a fact the new mom will need. This pattern gives me many idea's of what could be done. Someone posted an apple. You could add a flower or caterpillar to the hat. Christmas hat all white and the curly Q's on top done in Red and green. So many ideas's come to mind.

This is down right adorable and you can really go to town with it. Yes, like the previous poster said, it would make a great Apple. Change it to green and add big old eyes on top and you have a frog. Once you get the hang of it you can make dogs, bunnies, kittens, just use your imagination .

This is a perfect baby shower gift! I like the ribbing in the pattern, as it gives a bit of wiggle room for stretching on the baby's head. I think it would be fun to try and knit it up in red make an apple hat!
