As a first time 'expectant grandma' and renewed knitter (after 40 years), I was looking for a cute, but easy hat for my new baby girl. This was a great pattern for a new knitter. I did make a mistake (my purl row in contrast color was wrong!), so I just added another row of color to balance. I think it turned out great! Here's our baby at 6 months old in her hat!
