This little hat is beyond cute and would make any little girl happy if you made one for her. Its sad to know that some kids dont get the pleasure of experiencing receiving a handmade item in their life. My kids dont realize how lucky they are. Handmade items take time and effort and exude love.

Basic pattern. You make a rectangle but where does the three needle bind off come in.Does it get knit in the round. If you make a rectangle, you would sew up the sides. You can figure it out yourself but I questions the directions. Easy to make a bunch of them for friends, family and charity.

Super easy pattern especially for beginners, it uses really thick yarn and large needles so knits up really quickly making it an ideal last minute gift for a winter newborn, the pattern only comes in newborn size but as it is knitted in one simple piece it would be easy to adapt to make it larger using a tape measure and a head of the right size. I love the crochet tassles but it would also look great with pom pom corners instead.
