YOKE
Note: Pullover is worked in one piece from top down. Yoke is worked in rows with opening on right front. Body below underarms and sleeves are knit in rnds.
With A and smaller circular needle, cast on 41 (49-49-57) sts. Do not join. Working back and forth in rows across needle, proceed as follows:
1st row: (RS). K1. *P1. K1. Rep from * to end of row.
2nd row: P1. *K1. P1. Rep from * to end of row.
Rep last 2 rows (K1. P1) ribbing once more. Break A.
With MC and larger circular needle, proceed as follows:
1st row: (RS). K1. *M1. K14 (16-16-18). M1. K1. PM on last st. M1. K4 (6-6-8). M1. K1.* PM on last st. Rep from * to *once more. 49 (57-57-65). 49 sts.
2nd row: Purl.
3rd row: K1. *M1. Knit to marked st. M1. K1 (marked st). M1. Rep from * twice more. Knit to last marked st. M1. K1.
Rep 2nd and 3rd rows 12 (12-13-13) times more. 153 (161-169-177) sts.
Work 1 (1-3-3) row(s) even in stocking st.
Divide for Body and Sleeves
1st row: (RS). K44 (46-48-50) for Front. Slip next 32 (34-36-38) sts onto st holder for Left Sleeve. Cast on 2 sts. K44 (46-48-50) for Back. Slip next 32 (34-36-38) sts onto st holder for Right Sleeve. K1. Cast on 1 st. 92 (96-100-104) sts for Body.
Join in rnd, placing marker between cast on sts for beg of rnd. Knit in rnds until work from dividing rnd measures 6 1/2 (7 1/2-8-8 1/2)" [16.5 (19-20.5-21.5) cm]. Break MC.
With A and smaller circular needle, knit 1 rnd.
Next rnd: *K1. P1. Rep from * around.
Rep last rnd of (K1. P1) ribbing 5 times more. Cast off in ribbing.
Sleeves
With MC and set of larger double pointed-needles, K32 (34-36-38) from st holder.
Pick up and knit 2 underarm sts. Join, placing marker between picked up sts for beg of rnd. 34 (36-38-40) sts for Sleeve.
Knit in rnds, dec 1 st at beg and end of every following 9th (10th-11th-12th) rnd 4 times. 26 (28-30-32) sts.
Knit even in rnds until Sleeve from dividing rnd measures 7 (7 1/2-8-9)" [18 (19-20.5-23) cm]. Break MC.
With A and smaller double-pointed needles, knit 1 rnd. Work 4 rnds in (K1. P1) ribbing as given for Body. Cast off in ribbing.
Buttonhole band:
With RS facing, A and circular needle, pick up and knit 22 (24-26-28) sts down right front opening beg at neck edge.
Next row: (WS). *K1. P1. Rep from * to end of row.
Sizes 6 and 18 mos only:
Next row: (Buttonhole row). Rib 4 (5) sts. *yo. K2tog. Rib 4 (5) sts. Rep from * twice more. (3 buttonholes).
Sizes 12 and 24 mos only:
Next row: (Buttonhole row). Rib 4 (5) sts. *yo. K2tog. Rib 5 (6) sts. Rep from * once more. yo. K2tog. Rib 4 (5). (3 buttonholes).
All sizes:
Next row: (WS). *K1. P1. Rep from * to end of row.
Cast off in ribbing (RS).
Buttonband
With RS facing, A and circular needle, pick up and knit 22 (24-26-28) sts up right sleeve opening. Work as given for Buttonhole band, omitting references to buttonholes.
Finishing
Sew buttons to correspond to buttonholes. Centering chart at Front of Sweater approx 2 3/4" [7 cm] up from bottom ribbing, duplicate stitch bunny face using A.
Pompom Tail:
Wind A around 3 fingers approx 60 times. Remove from fingers and tie tightly in center. Cut through each side of loops. Trim to a smooth round shape. Sew pom-pom to Back of sweater as shown in picture.
