I was under the sad belief that I was the only one that went all out during holiday decorations. I was wrong. Thank you for this pumpkin toilet paper cozy. I will add it to the ever growing holiday decorations.

This is really cute and easy to make. I would be tempted to make it longer so the paper underneath doesn't show. I found some orange yarn at a rummage sale that will be perfect for this. You could also make the stem brown or black. Pinned this one to make!

Funny thing. I made this in crochet a few years back from a free pattern I found. I brought it out that first autumn to display in the bathroom and my Mom came for a visit. She thought it was the cutest thing. Needless to say, when she left, so did my tp cover.

would be nice if even on this site-- what abv. mean.-ex:, what does sku, ovrst and others exactly mean? I understand different craft companies have their own lingo.

Sorry, but your comment is mostly incorrect. Different yarn companies do not have their own lingo, actual knitting abbreviations are standard and there are standardized charts any number of places on the internet available to be downloaded and printed, furthermore the examples you gave are not even in this pattern.

It might be a good idea to make the cozy long enough to cover the entire bottom of the TP roll and have it close with a drawstring made of green yarn. Also, the cozy might look more realistic if the knitter would use light green yarn to embroider lines down the "seams" or vertical indentations on the sides of the pumpkin. Overall, this is a very cute idea for the fall season.
