Knowing what types of patterns to knit for children can be challenging.  Trying to find stylish summer patterns for kids adds even more to the struggle.  With this beautiful collection of 32 light weight, summer patterns, author Kristi Porter makes it look all-so-easy.  Inside this charming book you will find stunning photography mixed with various designs for children sizes 2-12.

From cute hats, to knit shorts and lacey tanks and sweaters, this book has a great selection of patterns for both boys and girls alike.  The adorable Carry-All Caddie Bag on pg. 25 is so gorgeous and handy, I might just have to make one for myself.  Constructed with a simple, all-over pattern and colorful i-cord handles, this bag would make a great summer accessory for both children and adults.

Besides the lovely patterns included in this book, you will also find a useful chart with defined knitting abbreviations in addition to short, illustrated tutorials for selective special knitting techniques that are included in some of the patterns.  So if you are searching for an extensive group of patterns to make for children this summer, or if you live in a place that's warm year-round, More Knitting in the Sun: 32 Patterns to Knit for Kids, would be a great book to add to your library.
