This fire fighter vest and hat is part of a knit along party. It was still free when I just visited the site with the pattern, but read that it will on be free for a limited time. This pattern belongs to the magazine I Like Knitting and they are pushing paid subscription memberships there too.

This is great. I have a friend who just became a grand mother to a little guy. His dad is a fire man so this will make a big hit. It's not hard either so that's a plus. With a little modification I can make this into a police uniform too.
