I don't have much experience knitting with cables, but this pattern looks easy enough to work through, especially with chunky yarn, and the resulting cowl is so lovely I will have to give it a try! I am sure this cowl would look wonderful in almost any solid dark color.

The cable and the color of this cowl are so beautiful! I love the look of it with the soft sweater the model is wearing. I have no idea how to knit cable, but there's a goal for next year! Maybe I should sign up for a knitting class...
