This White Cabled Cowl is the perfect little neckwarming accessory. Since this cowl takes only about a half as much knitting as a full-length scarf, you will have a new cowl in no time! This cowl is as fun to knit as it is fun to wear. Chunky cables make it easy to wear with any coat; under your heavy winter coat or over a light spring jacket. Its versatile design makes it great for any season, so don't be shy about breaking it out in the warmer months.

soft and cozy in texture and looks, quick to knit, but anyone using the pattern above should change the cast on to 96 stitches from 48 (in the actual pattern reached through the link 96 stitches are required but there is a typo above) - typos do happen even in the best of families

Uses 4mm needles and DK yarn. Says cast on 96 in actual pattern C12F = cable 6 front, C12B = cable 6 back 6st RC (ws) = cable 3 back 6st LC (right side) = cable 3 front. I haven't tried it yet to see how it works, but was surprised that the instructions were different here.
