- Size 5 mm (U.S. 8) knitting needles or size needed to obtain gauge
- Note: 1 ball each of MC and A will make 2 dishcloths
GAUGE
18 sts and 24 rows = 4" [10 cm] in stocking st.
MEASUREMENTS
Approx 3.5 ins x 9 ins [9 x 23 cm] long
ABBREVIATIONS
K = knit
k2tog = Knit next 2 stitches together.
pat = pattern
psso = pass slipped stitch over
rep = repeat
Sl1 = Slip next stitch knitwise.
Sl1Pwyif = Slip next stitch purlwise with yarn at front.
st(s) = stitch(es)
INSTRUCTIONS
With MC, cast on 14 sts.
1st row: (Inc1 in next st) 13 times. K1. 27 sts
2nd row: K1. *Sl1Pwyf. K1. Rep from * to end of row.
3rd row: Sl1Pwyf. *K1. Sl1Pwyf. Rep from * to end of row.
Rep last 2 rows until work from beg measures 3" [7.5 cm], ending on a 3rd row.
**Next row: (Inc row). Inc1 in first st. *Sl1Pwyf. K1. Rep from * to last 2 sts. Sl1Pwyf. Inc1 in last st.
Next row: K1. *Sl1Pwyf. K1. Rep from * to end of row.
