The texture of this seed stitch dishcloth is perfect for washing. The pattern is easy and works up quickly. It looks great in the self patterning cotton yarn, and I'm sure it would just as nice in solid colors too. I like patterns like this that I can put down and pick up and not have to remember where I was in the design.

I can really see how this would be an excellent dish cloth with the texture made by those little "seeds". This is a new stitch for me and that is always fun! I can see doing these up for a housewarming gift to match the couple's dishes or kitchen decor. This pattern is also just the right size!
