- Notions: Tapestry needle, polyester stuffing, stitch markers, waste yarn (for holding stitches)

PATTERN NOTES
This scarf is worked in 2 halves. Each half is identical. The cast-on edges are sewn together and form the center of the scarf.
SCARF
First Half
Beginning at the start of a yellow or green color change in the yarn, cast on 35 sts. Divide sts evenly among dpns, place marker (pm) and join to work in the rnd, being careful not to twist sts.
Rnd 1: Knit. Cont in St st until Scarf meas 21” from cast-on edge.
Hand - Thumb Gusset
Next rnd: K16, pm, k3, pm, knit to end.
Inc rnd: Knit to marker, sl m, m1, knit to marker, m1, sl m, knit to end – 2 sts inc’d.
Next rnd: Knit.
Rep these 2 rnds, 5 more times – 15 sts between markers.
Next rnd: Knit to marker, remove marker, slip 15 Thumb sts to waste yarn, cast on 3 stitches using backward loop cast-on, remove other marker, knit to end – 35 sts.
Cont in St st for 2¾”.
Fingers
Next rnd: K5, place next 4 sts on waste yarn for half of ring finger, place next 4 sts on waste yarn for half of middle finger, place next 10 sts on waste yarn for index finger, next 4 sts on waste yarn for other half of middle finger, next 4 sts on waste yarn for other half of ring finger – 9 sts rem for little finger.
Little Finger
Arrange rem sts evenly on 3 dpns.
Next rnd: Cast on 2 sts using backward loop cast on, k9, place marker for beg of rnd – 11 sts.
Work even in St st until Little Finger measures 2½”.
Dec rnd: [K2tog] 4 times, k3tog – 5 sts rem. Break yarn, thread through tapestry ndl, and pass through rem live sts. Pull taut, fasten off.
Ring Finger
Place each set of 4 sts on a dpn.
Rnd 1: Beg with sts closest to Little Finger, k4, cast on 2 sts, k4, pick up and knit 2 sts from base of Little Finger, place marker for beg of rnd – 12 sts.
Work even in St st until Ring Finger measures 3”.
Dec rnd: [K2tog] across rnd – 6 sts rem. Break yarn, thread through tapestry ndl, and pass through rem live sts. Pull taut, fasten off.
Middle Finger
Place each set of 4 sts on a dpn.
Rnd 1: Beg with sts closest to Ring Finger, k4, cast on 2 sts, k4, pick up and knit 2 sts from base of Ring Finger, place marker for beg of rnd – 12 sts.
Work even in St st until Middle Finger measures 3½”.
Dec rnd: [K2tog] across rnd – 6 sts rem. Break yarn, thread through tapestry ndl, and pass through rem live sts. Pull taut, fasten off.
Index Finger
Place 10 held sts on dpns.
Rnd 1: Pick up and knit 2 sts from base of Index Finger, k10, place marker for beg of rnd – 12 sts.
Work even in St st until Index finger measures 3”.
Complete as for Middle Finger.
Thumb
Place 15 held sts on dpns.
Rnd 1: Pick up and knit 3 sts from gap, k15 – 18 sts.
Next rnd: K1, ssk, k13, k2tog – 16 sts. Place marker for beg of rnd.
Work even in St st until Thumb measures 3”.
Dec rnd: [K2tog] across rnd – 8 sts rem. Break yarn, thread through tapestry ndl, and pass through rem live sts. Pull taut, fasten off.
Second Half of Scarf
Work as for First Half.
FINISHING
If necessary, sew closed any holes between Fingers.
Stuff Hands, Thumbs, and Fingers with polyester stuffing. With small amount of yarn, tack down scarf about 1” before Thumb shaping begins, to ensure stuffing does not travel up main Scarf.
Sew Second Half of Scarf to First Half of Scarf at cast-on edges.
Weave in ends
