Sherbert Beanie Slouch Hat
This Sherbert Beanie Slouch Hat is a great lightweight knit for spring. It uses self-striping yarn in warm, glowing shades of red and orange, which means you get a pretty pattern without having to change colors in the middle of your project. This beanie pattern is simple to knit in easy ribbing and would make a good project for new knitters looking for a wearable free knitting pattern. This is a simple pattern, great for new knitters. I love that it is made on 2 needles instead of circular or double pointed needles. Yes, it has a seam, but I find it so much easier to work with a pair of regular needles. I have been knitting for roughly 40 years, and yet I still struggle with working in the round on circular needles.

Hello darius1953 4094645, sherbert is just a word the designer used to name this pattern. Hope this helps! -Editors of AllFreeKnitting

Sherbert is a frozen treat similar to ice cream, but is usually fruit based.

I prefer slouch hats. I find you can pull them down easier over your ears when the wind picks up. This hat is simple and should work up easily. You can never have too many hats especially here in NYC where it can get so windy. Thank you.
