Speedy Vine Lace Hat
The Speedy Vine Lace Hat is the ideal quick knitting project. The spring green color is bright and fresh and the knit hat is made with an exceedingly simple but pretty lace pattern and a gathered, slouchy top. This hat will look good on just about anyone. The delicate lace is perfect for the warmer temperatures of spring. Plus, the relaxed fit is completely on trend. Your granddaughter will love wearing this hat around town which makes it a great knitted gift idea. Hi Gretchen...absolutely love this pattern and would love to knit it up. Can you guide me as to how I can knit it as a fitted beanie as I am not a fan of slouchy hats. Also, do you think I could change it up by knitting a rolled brim instead of the ribbing and still look as cute ? Thanx much. Looking forward to hearing from you -)

This is a cute pattern. I like to add a bit of detail when I am knitting with solid color yarn and this is good for that. I also like the way the top gathers. I make a lot of hats because I need them here in NYC. My head always gets cold. This way I have a hat for every outfit. Thank you.

There was a slight confusion in the pattern about slipping stitches. You want to slip stitches in one round and knit them on the next round. Other than that the pattern turns out fine.

The kelly green color of this hat is so cute. I'm still a beginner, but I'm adding this to my list of projects to try one day.

Definitely give it a try. It looks like the vine is only in one section in the front, so most of it should be well within your ability. It will be a fun challenge! Please post a photo so we can see it when it's finished.
