"This model was knit using Lion Brand Hometown yarn, which is 6-weight. You can use whatever yarn you have on hand though because the pattern includes instructions for all yarn weights. Varying twisted stitches in every other row give this hat a unique texture. The rows between are just knit stitches so this hat can really fly off your needles. Vary this pattern by knitting the top of the hat in stockinette or stripe it if you want. Experiment and have fun. And make some for your local cancer center while you are at it!"
