This hat has a very nice color combination. It is not really a "beginner" pattern, though, because you have to follow a chart for the decreases at the top of a hat. If you are new to knitting, you might want to find another pattern that has the decrease instructions written out for you.

I appreciate your attention! I considered this pattern "for beginners" because it has only knit, purl and knit 2 together stitches. Thank you.
