The October Cushion
"Want a little bit of autumn beauty in your house? The October cushion is a knitted celebration of falling leaves and autumn colours. It's knitted in the round, to fit a 17" cushion pad. If you're familiar with stranded knitting and with reading charts, you'll find this a quick and easy project, perfect for gifts or for brightening up a plain sofa. For a larger project, simply add extra repeats of the pattern. Full chart and instructions provided."
Knitting Needle Size6 or 4 mm
Yarn Weight(3) Light/DK (21-24 stitches to 4 inches)
Materials List
- Stylecraft Batik Elements: 2 balls in shade 'Platinum'. (Or 3 balls if you're making 2 cushions.)
- Stylecraft Batik. One ball of each of the following shades: Violet, Raspberry, Teal, Old Gold, Pistachio.
- 4mm circular needles. Length: 24" / 60cm.
- 4mm crochet hook.
- Darning needle.
- 17" cushion pad.

What a pretty pattern! I prefer different colors, but that's not a problem because it could be a spring pillow, with the leaves like that. The color work might be a little challenging but not too much so. It looks like a good project for a quiet time of the year either way.
