I have such fond memories of wearing mittens when I was a little girl. Mine never were this beautiful. I live in a area that it does not ever that REALLY cold but I can see me wearing these when I do take the dogs out. Having my fingers close together verses singly like gloves will keep my digits warm.

Mittens are so much warmer than gloves and when they are as attractive as these, they will warm the spirits too. A classic pattern, it seems I have seen the heart and the boy and the girl in the past, a faint memory, making this a special project.

The blue and white colors and silhouettes designs is so classic for the Norwegian Mitten project. I do love projects that will stand the test of time and these mittens will surley lend themselves to being a main staple for many years to come. Kinda like the little black dress.
