Checkered Lace Scarf
From the blogger: "Knit yourself a delicate scarf for the transitional seasons like autumn and spring. This scarf is knitted mostly in garter stitch; even when knitting the lace parts, no purl stitches are used. The width of the scarf is five squares (or nearly squares), alternating garter stitch squares with lace squares. Each pattern repeat is only 3 rows; so, it is easy to remember. The pattern looks the same from RS and WS, i.e. it is completely reversible."

The pattern of this scarf is absolutely gorgeous! I have never seen anything like it. Reading over the pattern, it is really simple to make too. I am not completely up to date on all my knitting terms, but that is what Google is for, right? I would definitely make this in the black to start with, because I can see what I'm doing in black. However, this would also look good in any color, even variegated!

I have never seen a scarf with a pattern like this one before. And it is beautiful. I expected this too be far more complicated than it is just looking at the picture of the model. I love it in th e black, but I think it would look great in almost any color

This is a pretty pattern and would look good in any solid dark color. Knitting lace can be a little challenging at time but once you get the hang of the pattern it will get easier. I like that it is reversible so you don't have to worry when you wear it about a right side and a wrong side.
