What an interesting pattern! It is pretty unusual to knit a scarf sideways rather than lengthwise. With the fine yarn and the dense pattern, this would make a warm and refined scarf, perfect for any guy. I think this would make a great gift, the kind a man really wants to receive.

Interesting pattern perfect for a boyfriend or husband or for yourself. Its almost like a horizontal ribbing stitch with the two knit rows followed by two purl rows. I see the designer knit with two strands of light weight fingering yarn (sock yarn), but the scarf would be equally effective knit with one strand of worsted and that might be easier for beginning knitters to handle.

a striking scarf - great for a man on your gift list - definitely a dense knit as described - superb for the winters here worn with an overcoat or car-length coat will look sharp I don't get the tea reference though lol

The yarn called for is actually fingering weight, a #1 not a worsted weight #4 as stated here on all free knitting. Happy knitting!

Hi Ealizabethane 1862886, Thanks for pointing that out! We have since updated the pattern with the correct information. -Editors of AllFreeKnitting
